Your Day 8 Prayer: Binding Darkness, Releasing Heaven

Hi Friend,

On Day 8 of our 30-day prayer journey, we stand firm on God’s unshakable promises. He has declared that His church will prevail, and He has given us the keys of the Kingdom to walk in His authority. As we pray today, we declare that the church will rise in strength, overcome every obstacle, and establish His Kingdom across the earth!

Heavenly Father, we thank You for all Your great, mighty, and precious promises. You promise to build Your church, so we stand and declare that promise. And as we do, You are watching over Your Word to perform it. You have given us the keys of the Kingdom of heaven. We declare that the works of darkness will not prevail against Your people and Your church. We declare that the church of Jesus rises and stands tall in the earth, Your Kingdom is established in the earth, and the Rock that Daniel saw growing will fill the whole earth, in Jesus’s name.

Scriptures:

And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra–a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.
