Your Day 19 Prayer: From Hurt to Healing, from Bitterness to Grace

Hi Friend,

Today’s Day 19 prayer focuses on the healing power of forgiveness. As we surrender our pain and disappointment to God, He renews our hearts and helps us walk in love, just as Christ has loved and forgiven us.

Father, thank You for guarding our words and sanctifying our speech. Father, we give You our pain and disappointment, knowing that in You, we are made new. Please guard our hearts and minds so that we don’t hold on to unforgiveness toward anyone who has hurt us.

Thank You for the incredible gift of forgiveness through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. Because of Your love and grace, we have the strength to forgive others just as You have forgiven us.

Scripture: 

Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.
